Rabbits resurrection

Image
Dear friends of piano music, everything always turns out very differently than you think. So here's another story. It is about the two cute little rabbits that a little girl is taking care of. I have the pleasure of knowing her. She does it very well and with a lot of love, she reads to them good night stories, gets them fresh vegetables and puts them every day in a large open-air enclosure, where they can romp and jump to their hearts' content. I've already seen them doing it, it's pure joy. I have never before seen two funny little balls of fur with ears that are not particularly long jumping high through the air full of boisterous joy and then change direction in the middle of the jump. Of course, rabbits are able to make lightning quick changes in the air, you know that - but it's so incredibly cute, and I really envy them this amazing ability. I once read somewhere (I think it could have been Astrid Lindgren) that some people are like soaped rabbits - you just

dead end

Image
Dear friends of piano music, sometimes you notice that you have reached a dead end, that you have taken a path that does not advance you artistically any longer. This is currently the case with me. I am no longer satisfied with the concept of my channel. It was fun for a long time, and it was especially useful to solve my inner blockage that I had during my very long artistic crisis. But this crisis is over now, and I have come to a point where I can no longer find too much sense in what I am doingl. So there will be a little break on this channel. Maybe not everything will change, but there will be fewer uploads. A renovation work is necessary, so to speak. Of course there will be videos again and certainly tutorials as well. It's kind of an end-of-year break - but not the end of the channel  Hopefully see you soon,  Kerstin

piano students

Image
Dear friends of piano music, I would have to lie to say that this is my most talented student - but in any case it is by far the smallest and hairiest of my piano students. One of my piano professors, who was an extremely clever person, once said to me: In retrospect, you always feel sorry for your first piano students. Yes, there is definitely something to it. I was maybe 17 when I took on my first official students. One had an advertising agency and a cat that went well with the piano and carpet in color. He had an incredible amount of energy and tried so hard while practicing the piano that he almost fell off his stool. His girlfriend also had lessons with me, she wasn't terribly temperamental and she didn't pull my hair all the time, but I didn't blame the student. You shouldn't wear braids at the age of 17, that really tempts you to pull on them ... Then of course there were children, including a pair of siblings who kept fighting in the hallway. I'm used to

Spring

Image
Dear friends of piano music,  we all believe in spring. At the moment spring has withdrawn from Heidelberg conmpletely, everything is gray and gloomy here, at least on most days. Only a few reminiscences can be discovered, like here at a very small and simple cafĂ© right next to the "Dante playground". -   a very literary name for an adventure playground. I always think of this playground with mixed feelings, because there is a very high and steep tube slide that my children have climbed on many times, only to sit high up in the tube and fear this slide for so long that a huge jam of impatient children used to form behind them. Of course they also come up the steep ladder that leads to this slide, only up, but not down again, so that I had to climb up there many times, past the laughing and scolding children, and then backwards with my child in my arms to climb down. Yes, I know it would have made more educational sense to slide together with the child to relieve it of its fea
